We're Lindsay and Zack and these are our pups, Breckenridge and Murphy. We're the crew behind Wood + Wicks Handcrafted. Lindsay is the mastermind and does the making, Zack helps with the numbers and Breck & Murphy are here for emotional support!

Wood + Wicks started as a simple cement vessel idea. I (Lindsay) started working with cement, created a few planters and fell in love with it along the way. While they were pretty neat, I wasn't sure I could build a business around it. I spent some weeks thinking about how I could incorporate cement into a useful home decor piece.

Over the past few years, I've really become mindful of our planet and the impact our daily habits have on it. I've learned a lot about waste (plastic in particular) as well as the fumes we ingest. It dawned on me. What if I created these super unique cement vessels and pour really clean, non-toxic candles in them? And then, what if we could reuse the vessel as a planter? And here we are.

Each cement vessel is handcrafted by us. Our candles are blended using the cleanest sourced ingredients, all make here in the USA. Our seed-paper dust covers are made using native wildflower seeds and recycled paper and our packaging is 100% recyclable.

So, that’s our story - candles that don’t just smell good, but do good too.
